The design of Organic is rooted in the principles of the Gras Family, renowned for their social responsibility and commitment to sustainability. The MontGras Organic line is a reflection of their dedication to handcrafted production processes, setting it apart from other wine brands. The wines, including Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, hail from D.O. Mulchen, Bío-Bío Valley, one of the southernmost wine-producing regions in Chile.
Ureta's design is not only visually appealing but also environmentally conscious. The label is printed on State 100 paper, using four special colors in Digital Offset with silkscreen finishes and a protective varnish. The label's dimensions and tapering were meticulously planned, ensuring a perfect fit on the Burgundy bottle. The design process involved extensive research on creating a product whose materials and manufacturing would be environmentally friendly, resulting in a lightweight bottle and label printed on 100% recycled paper with FSC certification.
The design journey was not without its challenges. As MontGras underwent a brand architecture and positioning overhaul, the need arose for a new, innovative portfolio that could communicate the company's new "Boldly Attractive" positioning. Ureta and her team rose to the occasion, creating a design that not only meets the company's requirements but also sets a new standard in wine packaging design.
The Organic design has been well received both domestically and internationally, finding favor in key markets such as Korea, China, USA, Chile, Canada, Denmark, Brazil, Japan, and the UK. The design's success is a testament to Ureta's innovative approach and dedication to sustainability, earning it the prestigious Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2021.
